  • Waterfall Wellness Center has two office locations where in-person therapy sessions are offered. Our Summerville office is located at  89 Old Trolley Rd. Suite 105.  Our Mount Pleasant office is located at 1470 Ben Sawyer Blvd. Suite D15, on the second floor of the Dorchester building.

  • Yes, virtual therapy is an option for anyone located across South Carolina. Virtual therapy allows us to provide convenient, high-quality care from the comfort of your own home or another private location.

  • Our practice is committed to providing high-quality therapy while also ensuring that our clinicians are fairly compensated for the expertise and care they provide. Session fees vary based on the clinician you work with, as well as the type and length of the session.

We encourage you to visit each clinician’s bio page for a detailed breakdown of their specific fees. In general, session costs range from $125 to $175. If you have questions about pricing or need help determining which clinician might be the best fit, we’re happy to assist.

  • We are considered out-of-network providers. Therefore, your insurance reimbursement for therapy sessions will depend on your out-of-network benefits. We partner with Thrizer in order to make therapy services as affordable as possible.

Thrizer is a company that helps make out-of-network therapy more accessible. With Thrizer, if you have met your out-of-network deductible, you would only be financially responsible for your copay. In addition, you don’t have to worry about the hassle of dealing with your insurance company. Thrizer will send the claim to your insurance company on your behalf.

If you have any further questions about Thrizer or your ability to use your out-of-network benefits, please feel free to schedule a free phone consultation with the therapist of your choice and we will be happy to assist you in checking your benefits!

  • A Good Faith Estimate is a document that outlines the expected cost of your therapy services before you begin. In compliance with the No Surprises Act, healthcare providers, including mental health clinicians, are required to offer clients an estimate of anticipated fees for treatment.

This estimate is designed to help you understand potential costs and make informed decisions about your care. It is important to know that the Good Faith Estimate is not a binding contract; actual costs may vary depending on the frequency and duration of sessions as your treatment needs evolve. If you have questions or would like an updated estimate at any time, we are happy to provide one.

  • The length of therapy is different for everyone and depends on your goals, your history, and what you’re hoping to change or improve. Some people feel better after a short period of consistent sessions, while others benefit from a longer-term approach to address deeper patterns or ongoing stressors.

We’ll talk together about what you’re looking for, create a plan that fits your needs, and check in periodically to see how things are progressing. There’s no one “right” timeline—therapy moves at the pace that feels supportive and sustainable for you. Our goal is to make sure you’re getting the level of care that truly helps you create lasting change.

  • Our practice requires 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Because your session time is reserved specifically for you, cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice—or missed appointments—will be charged the full session fee.

We understand that unexpected things come up. If you need to cancel late, you’re welcome to request a make-up session within the same week. While we can’t guarantee availability, we will do our best to accommodate you when possible. Thank you for helping us maintain a schedule that supports both our clients and our clinicians.

  • Yes, therapy is confidential. What you share in session is protected by privacy laws and ethical standards, and your clinician cannot disclose information without your written permission. There are a few specific exceptions where we are legally required to break confidentiality—such as concerns about imminent harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse of a child, elder, or vulnerable adult, or a valid court order requiring disclosure.

Your clinician will review these limits of confidentiality with you during your first session so you know exactly what to expect and understand your rights.
