It’s time to stop repeating the same patterns and start feeling in control again.
I work with individuals (age 16+) and couples. I specialize in substance use and addiction, disordered eating and body image concerns, and trauma – especially when the struggle shows up as patterns you've tried over and over to change but can't seem to stick. Many of my clients look like they're functioning on the outside, but internally feel stuck, ashamed, disconnected, or frustrated. They've tried to power through, manage it privately, or convince themselves it's not that serious…until it keeps happening.
Sometimes that looks like drinking or using more than you planned. Sometimes it's feeling out of control around food, swinging between restriction and overdoing it. Other times it's shutting down emotionally, getting overwhelmed quickly, or reacting in ways you regret afterward. Sometimes it's about coping. Sometimes it's about control. Sometimes it's about numbing or escaping. Whatever the behavior, it usually started for a reason and kept going because it worked, at least for a while.
My background in fitness and nutrition shapes how I approach this work. Healing isn't just about changing your thoughts – it involves your body, your habits, and your nervous system. Together we’ll look at what’s driving the patterns, what they've been doing for you, and how to build something that actually feels sustainable instead of relying on willpower alone.
Trauma is often underneath these struggles. It affects how safe you feel, how you relate to people, and how you cope when life gets hard. My role isn't to label you or judge your choices – it's to help you understand what's happening and move toward change that lasts instead of short burst of progress, followed by starting over.
You’ll get honesty, not judgement — and I’ll challenge you when you need it.
I'm respectful, direct, and very human in sessions. You don't need to perform, impress me, or say things the "right" way. At the same time, therapy won't just be a place to talk in circles. I work best with people who want honesty and are open to looking at the patterns they keep getting pulled back into.
I use approaches like EMDR, ACT, and CPT to address both the emotional and behavioral sides of change. We'll work on understanding your triggers, building practical coping skills, and processing the experiences that keep pulling you back into the same loops. The goal isn't perfection – it's helping your reactions become less automatic and your choices feel more intentional.
My approach is collaborative. I'll respect your pace, but we won't avoid the hard stuff forever. Real change takes effort from both of us. I'll show up prepared and engaged, and I'll ask the same from you. If you're willing to be honest and stay in the process, therapy can move beyond understanding why things happen and into actually living differently.
